1. The four noble truths are very important for Buddhists. They teach that for people to achieve enlightenment or Nirvana, you have to stay away from your cravings to prevent sufferings and be at peace.You just have to be comfortable enough so you can meditate fully and discover your own enlightenment.
2. Another important teaching of Buddhism is the path of inquiry. This teaching will tell you to have the ability to seek the truth and know how to ask questions to get the right answers. One must know how to investigate and to also be open-minded with anything that you discover or learn.
3. Another familiar teaching of Buddhism is the presence of Karma. If you do something bad in your life, you will experience something bad in return but if you do good, positive karma will forever be with you.
